Why Pro costs money

Routes is one person, not a content farm.

Every one of the 732 roads is traced from its real OpenStreetMap geometry, the climbs measured, the hairpins counted, and the write-up checked by hand. Pro is what pays for the catalogue to keep growing.

Questions

Which should I pick, annual or lifetime?
If you want to try it first, start the annual plan, the first 7 days are free and you can cancel before you're charged. If you already know Routes is for you and would rather never think about it again, lifetime is one payment and yours for as long as Routes runs, future updates included. Not your lifetime, mine: if Routes ever shut down the online features would stop, and that is the honest version.
What happens after the free trial?
Nothing is charged for the first 7 days. After that the annual plan bills £6.99 and then renews once a year. Cancel anytime before the trial ends and you pay nothing. The trial is one per customer, so if you have had it before and come back, the £6.99 is taken straight away. Checkout always shows what is actually due today before you confirm.
Can I cancel? Will I lose access straight away?
Yes, cancel anytime from your account. If you cancel the annual plan, Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, it isn't cut off immediately.
I already bought Pro in the iPhone app. Do I need to pay again?
No. Pro follows your Routes account, so if you bought it in the app, just sign in here and it's already unlocked. This page is for buying Pro on the web, for anyone not on an iPhone.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Checkout is handled by Stripe; your card details go straight to them and never touch our servers.
