The SP29 crosses Passo delle Erbe (Würzjoch) at 2,003 m, linking Bressanone in the Eisacktal with San Martin de Tor in Val Badia at the edge of the Puez-Odle nature park. The narrow road climbs steeply, reaching gradients around 16% on some ramps, beneath the Sass de Putia. The western approach is usually closed in winter, the surface is narrow with limited passing, and snow or ice can linger near the summit.
