The best driving roads in the Dolomites

By Simon Keane · Updated July 2026

Nowhere else in Europe packs this much good road into this little space. The Dolomites give you pale limestone towers, hairpins stacked six deep, and passes sitting so close together that you can drive four of them before lunch, which is more or less what the Sella Ronda loop is. These are the 24 we have mapped, from the 2,305 m Tre Cime toll road down, each one traced from real road geometry and fact-checked.
