This single-track mountain road climbs from Hay-on-Wye to 549 metres between Hay Bluff and Twmpa, the highest road pass in Wales. It then drops south through the Vale of Ewyas toward Llanthony Priory and Abergavenny. Mind the cattle grids, sheep on the carriageway and frequent passing places where you must give way.
