The A82 sweeps through Scotland’s most storied glen, ringed by brooding peaks.

Few roads frame their surroundings as completely as the A82 through Glen Coe. From the open expanse of Rannoch Moor the road curves down past the Three Sisters and the Study into the glen proper, with the Aonach Eagach ridge towering on one side. It is a flowing A-road rather than a technical pass, so the challenge is reading the weather and the traffic at the popular viewpoints. Pull in only at the designated lay-bys to take in the scale of the place.

Even in the rain, especially in the rain, Glencoe takes your breath away. The mountains close in and the road just flows.
