Passo del Maniva

The Giogo del Maniva at 1664m, the celebrated Brescia hairpin road on the SP345 delle Tre Valli, climbing from Collio in the Val Trompia.

The SP345 delle Tre Valli leaves the Val Trompia near Collio and stacks up a famous sequence of roughly 38 hairpins to the 1664m Giogo del Maniva, a bare high saddle with a ski station and a high road continuing toward Passo Croce Domini. It is fully paved with steep ramps reaching toward 14.6 percent, exposed and panoramic up top, and a long-standing favourite of Lombard motorcyclists. The upper section is bleak and weather-exposed. Mind the relentless tight hairpins, narrow surface with sheer unguarded drops near the summit, and frequent low cloud and snow that linger at altitude.
