The SP345 delle Tre Valli leaves the Val Trompia near Collio and stacks up a famous sequence of roughly 38 hairpins to the 1664 m Giogo del Maniva, a bare high saddle with a ski station and a high road continuing toward Passo Croce Domini. It is fully paved with steep ramps reaching toward 14.6 percent, exposed and panoramic up top, and a long-standing favourite of Lombard motorcyclists. The upper section is bleak and weather-exposed. Mind the relentless tight hairpins, narrow surface with sheer unguarded drops near the summit, and frequent low cloud and snow that linger at altitude.
