Limestone walls up to 400 m high squeeze to a slot about ten metres wide, and the road threads right through the gap. The tarmac is easy, the scenery is anything but.
The R703 runs north from Tinghir up the Todra Gorge, passing beneath limestone walls up to 400 metres high where the canyon narrows to about ten metres wide. The road was fully paved in 2014 and is easy through the gorge itself, though it narrows on the climb toward the high plateau. Mind the narrow canyon floor, pedestrians and parked tour vehicles.
