Narrow national road threading one of Europe’s tightest driveable gorges on the Sella.

The N-625 follows the River Sella through the Beyos gorge between Asturias and Leon, with sheer limestone walls closing in to just a few metres in places. It is genuinely narrow and largely without a shoulder, so it rewards a calm pace over hard charging. The scenery is often described as among the most dramatic gorge drives on the continent. Mind oncoming coaches in the tightest sections, blind rock-cut bends, and heavy weekend and summer traffic.
