Winding mountain road past the Hochkönig massif over the Dienten and Filzen saddles.
The B164 Hochkönig Road links Bischofshofen with Saalfelden, swinging past the foot of the Hochkönig massif and over the Dientner Sattel and Filzensattel, with a tightly curving gorge section on the eastern climb. It is a toll-free, very winding two-lane road that is a long-standing favourite with motorcyclists for its rhythm and mountain backdrop. It is also fairly busy and overtaking is awkward in places. Mind the dense run of tight curves through the gorge, weekend motorbike and tourist traffic, and winter snow on the two saddles.

“Die Fahrt durch die Schlucht ist nicht nur optisch eindrucksvoll sondern auch fahrerisch ein Highlight. Relativ eng und extrem viele Kurven.”
